The Criterion Hotel Gundagai is located in the heart of Gundagai, within walking distance from cafes, shops, and attractions.  We are first and foremost a family friendly Pub, steeped in history dating back 3 generations. Our establishment is dearly treasured by locals and loved by visitors.

The Bistro

On your next visit to Gundagai, make it to our Bistro for a fabulous pub feed. Our menu caters for classic pub favourites and all ages with a kids menu. We have weekly specials and serve our famous pizzas from Thursday through to Saturday. We are open daily for lunch from 12 - 2pm and dinner is available from Monday to Saturday 6 - 9pm.

Our bar serves some great beers on tap, with snack food available. Our Sports Bar is where you can place a bet in our TAB on your favoured team, or just catch up and watch a game with your mates.

At the Criterion Hotel, we have 14 rooms available in 3 different configurations. We have King Single, Queen and Family rooms, all with shared bathroom facilities, separate for male and female. Linen and towels are included along with flat-screen TVs and free wifi.

The Criterion features

The Criterion Hotel is a relaxed and friendly place for the whole family. There is an indoor game area which features a pool table and jukebox for some good grooves.

The front bar has some original oil painted murals depicting the bushrangers and the 1852 flood in the front bar which was also one of the most devastating natural disasters in Australian history

The Criterion Deck

There is a lovely big deck that is fabulous in all weather conditions. During the warmer months, we have a cool mist humidifier and blinds that block out the extreme sun whilst in the cooler months, we can pull the blinds right down to block out the wind and rain. We also have a lovely wood box fireplace that is brought to great use in winter.

Our Pub Also Features

Our property also features a sports bar showing all the latest games and events with a large touch screen TV and TAB available.  We have a pool table and jukebox so you can enjoy tunes while you enjoy a game of pool with your mates. We also have an airconditioned private VIP lounge. We also have a drive through Bottlemart which is open every day until 9pm, except some public holidays. There is plenty of onsite parking available to use for free for patrons.
